This time, we’re taking our first serious shot at polishing an emotionally-aware AI companion. The hardest part wasn’t making it “more talkative”—it was teaching it boundaries: to be more human, to hold space for your feelings, and to make it safe for you to open up.
You can switch between different roles as needed, so it can speak with a more human tone—joking with you when it’s right, and keeping a gentle sense of distance when it should. We often stop and ask ourselves: is it accompanying you, or interrupting you? Many decisions weren’t about doing “more,” but about putting companionship first—showing up when it should, and staying quietly with you when that’s better.
What we want to protect is simple: an app that understands you without judging you—only offering, when you need it, a calm and comfortable place to vent, to talk, and to record your feelings.
